| DC-DC laptop power adaptors are generally used to supply power to your notebook computer from a 12V power supply, either from your vehicle’s battery or in an aeroplane. This is achieved by stepping up the input voltage to the desired output voltage. Using a DC-DC adapter is far more efficient than using a DC-AC inverter to generate 220V AC from your battery, which your notebook power supply then converts back to DC but at a higher voltage (typically 16 to 22V) to run your notebook. |
